BUILDING DETAILS
W Residences are located above W Downtown Hotel. Some people love living above a luxury hotel and enjoying all the amenities and services it has to offer (like 24-hour room service for example). Others find living above the hotel less cozy than in a typical residential building. Regardless of what opinion you might have on this subject we can clearly say that W Residences is an amazing high-end luxury high-rise.
The units in W start on the 17th and go up to 27th floor where you will find two-story penthouse units. The units are very spacious and offer panoramic views from wall of floor to ceiling windows. As you can see from the pictures below, the finishes are just spectacular. Here you will find large modern kitchens with high-end appliances, contemporary bathroom fixtures, high-grade flooring, etc. If you have appreciation for modern design, you will definitely like the finishes in the units at W Residences. Views from the units facing North, East or South offer great views of Atlanta’s skyline. Units facing West offer some views of Centennial Olympic Park and Mercedes-Benz Stadium, but for the most part are pretty boring.
When it comes to amenities which are shared with W Hotel, there is not much we can add besides that they are great. High-end restaurant, bar and spa are all located right in the building. A rooftop pool located on 16th floor with unobstructed views of Downtown Atlanta is just beautiful. There is also a great fitness center with views of Midtown and even a private helipad should you decide to shorten your commute from the airport ))
But with all that being said, we still have to say that location of the building does not match its amazing features. We don’t find this location to be as attractive as prime Midtown from standpoint of walkability or as luxurious as Buckhead. On the other hand, we currently find units in W Residences to offer a great value for the money. You see, most units (outside of the ridiculously priced penthouses) are currently priced in $300 per square foot range. It is equal to pricing per square foot in the neighboring Twelve Centennial building which is by no means a comparable product. It is also priced lower by a $100-$200 per square foot than most newer Midtown high-rises of a lower level of finishes. Therefore, if you are willing to compromise a bit on the location you can get a fantastic product for your money.

1. Modern design and amazing finishes of the units.
2. Access to fantastic amenities and services of W Downtown hotel
3. Price per square foot is lower than other lower-level buildings.
Top 3 things we HATE about this building:
1. Some people may not enjoy living above the popular hotel and sharing amenities with hotel guests.
2. West-facing units offer panoramic, but quite boring views.
3. Location is central but doesn’t quite match the “walkability” of prime Midtown.
