It all started with Metropolis. It was the first large new construction project by Novare Group and it had a certain significance. Metropolis was the first building where you could buy a condo with contemporary design (floor to ceiling glass walls, exposed concrete) at a fairly affordable price. When we say affordable, we mean it was cheaper than the modern buildings located in Buckhead. Today you can find many “all glass” high-rises in Midtown, but back in 2002, Metropolis was the only one. Some features, such as swimming pool and rooftop gardens being located on a 7th floor were also very innovative. And people loved it! The initial plan was for one of the towers to be apartments, while other was planned as condominium. But since condominium was selling fast, second tower was also converted into condos and sold out.

But enough with history. Is Metropolis still an attractive building today? We certainly think so! It still looks modern, it is still in a prime Midtown location, it still offers a great amenity package including concierge, a large gym, clubroom, swimming pool and rooftop garden. It also offers a good variety of floorplans, including large corner one-bedroom units. And since Metropolis has been around for quite a few years, it is also known for its great community of homeowners.

What might be the biggest negative for Metropolis? In our opinion, in comparison with the neighboring high-rises Metropolis is just not tall enough (20 stories high). And if you are looking for great views from high above you might be better off purchasing a unit in Spire or Viewpoint. Don’t get us wrong, there are some units with spectacular views. However, from a lot of units you are just looking at your neighbors or the neighboring buildings. On the other hand, you may just forego the views, since you probably will be spending most of your time exploring everything this great city location has to offer!
