There is not much that can be said about GE Lofts. It is an authentic loft building created by conversion of an original GE facility into residential spaces. Building has a lot of history, but is it relevant to you? Probably not. Just like other authentic lofts in the Castleberry Hill, in GE Lofts you will find a lot of exposed brick and concrete with original support pillars distributed over most units. In some units you may also find original sliding doors which add to the ambiance. Since conversion into residential spaces happened quite some time ago and previous owners were fairly modest when updating their units, most kitchens and bathrooms will not blow you away in terms of finishes. But then, on the other hand, you may not feel too bad ripping them out to create your own unique space. Another thing to consider is that original windows in many of the lofts are not energy efficient and can not be replaced, since building is considered to be historic. But then again, it is a common issue with authentic lofts.
There are no private outdoor spaces, but there are a communal garden and swimming pool. And as far as we remember, there are no other authentic loft building in Castleberry Hill which can offer you swimming pool. So, it is clearly an advantage.
When it comes to location, Castleberry Hill is an area you will either love or hate. Some people love to visit this neighborhood but would not live here. Others would not live anywhere else. Castleberry Hill is Atlanta’s loft district with a vibrant and artistic atmosphere. Regular art strolls and loft tours bring in visitors from all over the city and also contribute to the ambiance of the neighborhood. Close proximity to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium can be a huge advantage to sport fans… and not so much of an advantage when you get stuck in traffic before and after the games. On the weekends it can get very busy and noisy, which again can be a plus for some and minus for others. But the fact that GE Lofts is located across the street from iconic No Mas Cantina is definitely a big plus!
