BUILDING DETAILS
Concorde Buckhead LG2.jpg

Concorde is an older 31-story art-deco styled high-rise which was built in the end of the 80’s. Just like other old high-rises it has certain characteristic flaws, such as lower ceilings, absence of washer and dryer connections, fairly small and enclosed kitchens. However, the biggest negative for The Concorde is the absence of balconies. By todays standard, living in a high-rise and not having at least a small outdoor space is just a bad idea. On the other hand, units themselves are quite spacious. Most one-bedroom units will offer you 800+ square feet, while most two-bedrooms will be over 1200. And where units lack in outdoor space they compensate with abundance of light through floor-to-ceiling windows. Northeastern units also have fantastic views of Buckhead skyline. Original finishes for kitchens and bathrooms are out-of-date. However, since 1988 quite a few units got updated by the previous owners and some offer a pretty decent level of finishes. Some owners also managed to install ventless washer and dryer units, which definitely adds to the appeal of their particular unit.

Amenities are similar to other high-rises in Buckhead and include 24-hour concierge, conference room, fitness center, swimming pool and tennis court. Communal garden with grills was probably an attempt by developer to make up for the lack of outdoor space in the units.

Location is pretty good. The building is within walking distance of Buckhead Village and all the retail and restaurants it has to offer. At the same time the building is tucked away from the noise of Peachtree Road.

Currently the main attraction for Concorde building will be its price level. If you want to live in a high-rise in Buckhead and save $50k to $100k when comparing with more modern buildings, than purchasing in Concorde can be a good option for you.
