ATLOFTS

BUILDING DETAILS
ATLofts LG2.jpg

ATLofts were built along with the development of Atlantic Station retail in the mid 2000’s. When they were initially offered for sale, the demand was so high that a lottery system had to be implemented to select potential buyers. Were ATLofts spectacular? Or were they offered at a bargain price? The answer is no. At that time, the real estate market was very hot and this product was quite different from other options, thus creating a lot of interest. But no matter what your opinion on Atlantic Station might be, there is some sort of a cool factor of living right above all the retail and overlooking streets and event spaces of this locale.

There are no amenities. No swimming pool, no gym, no concierge. There is some logic to it though. Placing a concierge in each individual building would not be financially feasible. And since there is a huge fitness center with a swimming pool within walking distance, residents can purchase membership if they want to use them.

Units are spacious with square footage mostly ranging from a 1,000 to 2,000 square feet. There are many different floorplans, but the principle is the same. Most units have kitchen, living and dining areas on the lower level, while bedroom(s) and bathroom(s) are located upstairs on the mezzanine level. Some of the units have balconies and patios. However, there are many lofts which have no outdoor space at all, which makes them less attractive as a permanent residence.

Just like with other buildings in Atlantic Station, you can walk to the supermarket, multiple retails stores, restaurants, bars and even cinema. But such central location will come at a price. It can get quite noisy during weekends and events. Also, getting into your underground parking space may become difficult during the holiday season and large events held at the Atlantic Station as traffic sometime backs up all the way to the interstate.

Top 3 things we LOVE about this building:

1. Cool factor of living above the retail in Atlantic Station.
2. All the units are two-story lofts with high ceilings and large windows.
3. You are in the heart of Atlantic Station with abundance or retail stores and restaurants.

Top 3 things we HATE about this building:

1. There are no amenities… none.
2. Some units have absolutely no outdoor space.
3. Since underground garage shares the entrance with Atlantic Station’s parking deck, during holiday season and events it is quite challenging to get in and out due to traffic.
