BUILDING DETAILS
The Atlantic LG1.jpg

The Atlantic is one of the most beautiful buildings developed by Novare Group. And does not resemble most of its predecessors. It is a modern 46-story tower with elements of Art-Deco design. The initial idea was to build a high-rise tower with larger units and higher end finishes than those of Twelve Atlantic Station and similar projects. Unfortunately, construction was completed during the financial crisis of 2008 and most pre-sale contracts didn’t materialize into actual sales. And after 2008 selling units with a starting price of $400k was just impossible. As a solution, a part of the building was converted into rental apartments. Such move could not make homeowners very happy, but drastic times require drastic measures. As the market started to improve, tenants were slowly phased out as their units were offered for sale.

The units are attractive for several reasons. First, there is an abundance of floor to ceiling glass. If unit is high enough or facing East or South you should get some spectacular views of Atlanta’s skyline. If you are facing North or West and the unit is located on a lower floor your views are not going to be so great. Second, since this project was initially planned as a more luxurious product, size of the units here is larger. For example, a one-bedroom unit will put you at just under 1050 square feet. Smallest two-bedroom floor plan will be just under 1370. Larger two-bedroom and three-bedroom units can offer the space of 2000+ square feet. And third, for the same reason as just mentioned above, finishes installed here were also of a higher grade. That includes flooring, cabinetry, appliances and bathroom fixtures.

Obviously, the amenities are on par with the intent for this building to be a high-end product. Valet parking, 24-hour concierge, a beautiful swimming pool, large fitness center, movie theater, club room and many other perks are present here.

If you are specifically interested in living in Atlantic Station and enjoy all the conveniences it has to offer, then The Atlantic will probably be one of the nicest buildings to live in. However, if you are also considering other intown neighborhoods, then, at this price point, you will also have alternative options in Midtown and Buckhead.

2. Fantastic skyline views from the units facing East and South.
3. You are in the heart of Atlantic Station with abundance or retail stores and restaurants.

Top 3 things we HATE about this building:

1. During crisis, a part of the building was converted into rental apartments.
2. You are in the heart of Atlantic Station, so it can get busy and noisy on the weekends.
3. At this price point Atlantic is competing with some buildings located in prime Midtown and Buckhead locations.
