BUILDING DETAILS
Astoria is located right on Peachtree Road in the southernmost part of Buckhead. It is adjacent to Aramore condominium and actually sits in place of Aramore’s initially planned 3rd phase. In the mid 2000’s things where so good on the heated real estate market that developers decided to build a luxury high-rise building instead of the medium-range midrise. We have to applaud the architects who managed to create an interesting design, where northern part of the building appears to be very traditional and aesthetically connecting with the exterior of Aramore, while the southern part is very modern with a wall of glass offering spectacular views toward Atlanta’s skyline. Lower floors of the building were designed as office condos giving lower-level residential units an opportunity to be somewhat elevated.
Just like with many other high-end luxury buildings there are no one-bedroom floorplans available. All the floorplans have at least two-bedrooms, are very specious and offer top of the line finishes when it comes to cabinets, kitchen appliances, bathroom fixtures and flooring. As has been mentioned above, south-facing units also have floor to ceiling windows with panoramic views.
With less than 70 units Astoria offers an exclusive feel to its residents and it has amenities to match. 24-hour concierge, large clubroom, fitness center and rooftop pool. Unfortunately, the exclusivity is being slightly violated by Aramore’s residents having access to the pool. At least it contributes to slightly lower HOA dues, since cost of maintenance is being shared.
When it comes to location, we can say it is pretty good. Just like Gallery building Astoria is within walking distance to some of the old residential Buckhead neighborhoods which offer pleasant park-like setting. However, it is too far to walk to any major attraction or even MARTA train station. On the other hand, there are still plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Or you can take an Uber and, within a few minutes, find yourself in the middle of hustle and bustle of either Buckhead or Midtown.
